‘Good Vibes, Good Life’ Is it worth the hype?!

In short, is this book worth the hype? YES! I read the whole book in 2 days which is NOT like me.

Good Vibes, Good Life is the perfect self-help book for people who are looking to change their mindset, change their outlook on life and become a more positive and grateful person.

I'll breakdown my review into: How the book is structured, How is it different to other self-help books, My favourite chapters and my favourite quotes.

How is the book structured?
The book isn't all motivational quotes. Nor is it a 'story telling book'. It is the perfect balance between the writer, Vex King, telling anecdotes from his personal life such as times at university and professional life being a life coach. This book has 7 main chapters, and several mini chapters and subheadings, therefore every 3-5 pages your on a new topic and can pick it up and put it down whenever you want. Not only does the book consist of anecdotes and beautiful imagery of quotes, it also consists of scenarios, examples, and even several 'How to' and 'Step-by-Step' guides for meditation, manifesting goals, changing negative emotions and how to prevent yourself from procrastination. Thereby your mindset is constantly being challenged and almost 'reset' as to how to approach life with a different outlook.

How is this different to other self-help books?
I've felt in the past when i've read other self-help books that they're too 'airy-fairy', unrealistic and overwhelming. Some of them are so cliche and lack that relatable touch. Whereas with 'Good Vibes, Good Life' there were many times i felt as though Vex King was talking about me and my life and how i have felt before. It makes you want to vibrate higher, shine brighter and be present and content. This is definitely a book i will pick back up and re-read, perhaps even just one particular chapter when you need some reassurance or encouragement. There were also many times when i was reading certain chapters that not only did they resonate with me, but i could think of specific people in my life who would benefit from things Vex was saying.
Good Vibes covers all aspects of life; negative friendships, toxic relationships, toxic jobs, comparing yourself, setting goals and much more. This is the kind of book i will keep forever and look back on during certain chapters of my life when i need support or guidance.
