5 Places i want to travel to in 5 years
My love and desire to travel has grown with every place i have visited and from this i have created a list which i'm calling '5 in 5', 5 places i want to travel to within the next 5 years.
Here's my 5 in 5:
1. Dubai
Whilst deciding where to travel to this year, Dubai was a major option for many reasons. One of them being how polar opposite it is to the usual summer holidays such as Spain and Greece and the excitement of the city with the luxury of the water surrounding you.
2. Hong Kong
Admittedly, before i met one of my best friends at uni, i would have never considered Hong Kong as an option. Since meeting her (Sophie), and stalking her Instagram from when she visits home, i now understand how beautiful it is. I had no idea how 'holiday' like it was with beaches as well as the hustle of the city (much like Dubai).
Plus, i've made one too many pinky promise's that i'll visit Sophie within the next 5 years, therefore, Hong Kong has made it one to my '5 in 5' list.
3. Amsterdam
I don't think i have to explain why this is on the list, being as it is the 8th most popular city in Europe and pulling more than 14 million tourists a year. Alike Paris, Amsterdam has the romance of the walk along the water, the lock bridge and cycling down cobbled streets. However, it also has the night life that brings many hen and stag do's year after year, and it most certainly has caught my attention as somewhere i would love to visit within 5 years.
4. Italy
The romance, relaxation and general warmth that Italy appears to be is the reason i want to visit it so much. As well as the beautiful people and places, the language is something i have always wanted to learn. With the industry i work in (hospitality) there are many European workers whom speak many languages, and a having a few Italians around me has only encouraged the urge to visit their home, of which they speak so lovingly of. (and obviously eat LOADS of pizza and pasta, come on...)
5. Iceland
Finally, a different kind of break. The blue lagoon and mountain views is what intrigues me about Iceland. Further, the stunning scenery and simplicity of this break brings a feel of a detox, no phones, no technology, just being. In one word, BLISS.
*And one place i would love to return to would be Paris- even though i have visited Paris twice, it for some reason has a special place in my heart and I would always recommend people to go.
