NEWCASTLE

"TOON TOON BLACK WHITE ARMY"

From Yorkshire to Newcastle (Jesmond)

This was my second visit to Newcastle and i can honestly it won't be my last!
As most of you will know or get to know, i am a MASSIVE FOODIE, like... massive.
So, most of my reviews and experiences will be based around cafes and restaurants and Newcastle did not disappoint.

The first place we went to was local to our hotel, The New Northumbria Hotel (room tour on our YouTube Video).

The Fat Hippo

Mac 'N' Cheese Balls & Potato skins with bacon and cheese

THE BEST BURGERS IN THE WORLD!! The Ranch Burger (closest to camera) and The Texas Burger (with onion rings, furthest away)
If you're looking for some beefy American comfort food, then look no further than the Fat Hippo.

Scalinis
Our second day in Newcastle consisted of shopping in the toon then going to the restaurant attached to our hotel- Scalinis. This was a recommendation from Lewis' mum & dad as they had one of their first dates here 10 years ago!
Let me tell you, it was incredible. It is Italian cuisine and with a great location, incredible food and cheap prices i can't help but want to go back.

Garlic cheese pizza/ Chicken& chorizo risotto/ Lasagna
Our last full day consisted of going to my first football match (Sorry Dad, Lewis said a match at Nuneaton doesn't count). Unfortunately, the result was not exactly what 'we' wanted, nevertheless, by the end of the match i found myself shouting, screaming and swearing whilst on the edge of my seat.

And finally, it was time for our jam packed week of eating and drinking to come to an end.
